My grandmother loved me exquisitely. Leonore’s life and death transformed my life. I moved in with Gram when she went on hospice, a miraculous universal benefit, that enabled her to die in her own home. In gratitude I became a volunteer and advocate for palliative care and discovered a calling for supporting strangers and friends during this challenging and sacred time.
Leonore taught me the names of flowers and left me with a hand-painted year of wildflowers.
