There is a lot of understandable fear and panic about covid-19. Spending some time planning for the the best and worst case scenarios is a courageous and loving act for yourself, your loved ones, and strangers, including healthcare and other front-line workers on whom we rely. This weekly 4o-minute zoom call is an introduction to advance planning generally with specific timely updates responding to the changing landscape during the pandemic. I will share resources, including some basic actions that you can take now, most importantly identifying an agent for healthcare decisions and speaking with them about your priorities and values. I will also answer questions when I am able and assist in finding answers to those I cannot. My vision is that we educate and empower ourselves to increase our capacities to show up for ourselves and each other. We will all continue to navigate illness, death, and grief, universal experiences that are inextricable from the love and joy of each of our precious lives.
